Moulton College opens up the Extended Diploma route to Veterinary Medicine as an alternative to A levels

Moulton College is pleased to announce the signing of a new formal agreement with the Royal Veterinary College, University of London allowing students studying vocational courses such as the National Diploma access to study Veterinary Medicine without the additional requirement of A levels.

Traditionally A levels have been deemed as the acceptable route to studying Veterinary Medicine so as a result of the work undertaken with colleges such as Moulton and the VetNet Lifelong Learning Network parity now exists between A levels and vocational routes (in specific institutions). This therefore means that a potential vet school applicant now has a choice of studying A levels or a National Diploma depending on their preferred method of study.

Moulton College has added an Animal Science stream to its range of Animal Welfare provision. This therefore allows suitable modules to be studied that are recognised by the Royal Veterinary College. The stream also includes much valued animal practical experience enabling familiarisation with in excess of 100 species of animal housed on the College’s Animal Welfare Centre, this being extremely favourable for applications to study Veterinary Medicine.

So, what do I do now? If this is of interest to you please apply for the Extended Diploma (formerly National Diploma) in Animal Management at Moulton College. An application form can be downloaded from http://www.moulton.ac.uk/ or can be obtained by contacting Student Services on 01604 491131.
