VETNET LLN National CPD Conference, July 4th

Programme announced and bookings open

The programme has been announced for VETNET LLN's first National CPD Conference as a membership-based Association.  The Conference, taking place at Aston University in Birmingham on Monday 4th July, has a number of themes of topical importance:

Life after Browne  -  Progression to the New HE World: How should we support vocational learners in an environment of cuts and spiralling fees, and changes in qualifications and admissions regimes?

Nutrition  -  Teaching and Research for the 21st Century: Nutrition is central to the curriculum for students on animal-related courses.  How can we support their learning most effectively, and make it relevant to their future careers?

Animal Collections - Challenges and Solutions: How can we give our students the best hands-on experience with animals, while ensuring that animal welfare is not compromised?

Teaching Tomorrow - New Technologies, New Providers: Change is accelerating, in how we teach, and who does the teaching.  How can our institutions meet the emerging threats and opportunities?

The conference has been designed to give maximum CPD value for busy staff, combined with opportunities to network with contacts from other institutions, and to experience some of the resources that have been developed with VETNET funding.

Attendance is free for staff of Association members, with a charge of £50.00 for non members. Please complete the booking form and email it to pprobyn@vetnetlln.ac.uk, or post it to
