The College of West Anglia signs Partnership Certificate

14th January 2008

Bill Collinson, Head of Land based Faculty at The College of West Anglia and John Butcher, Eastern Regional Manager VETNET LLN, signed the national veterinary network learning initiative.

The College of West Anglia Milton Campus in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge will be collaborating to offer courses that employers need and deliver them in the way the students like. One of the first challenges facing the joint partnership is to develop a Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing at the Milton campus of the college.

'I am delighted that the college is a part of this project because it will provide a real opportunity to develop a route into higher education for people working in the animal care industries. At the end of this project we will have a foundation degree in vet nursing and an honours degree in vet nursing science. I am sure that these offerings will be extremely popular with students from Cambridgeshire and further a field. Our brand new campus at Milton, together with the Anglia Ruskin university campus at East Road will provide outstanding resources for students to use'
